　新しい車に乗っていると、すべて車が教えてくれます。今回はメンテナンスのサインが出て、私はてっきり「オイルチェンジ」だと思い、朝市７時にトヨタまで行ってきましたが、担当者は「タイヤのローテーション」だというのです。
　私が「オイルチェンジは毎５千マイルですよね？」と質問すると、「いや今は一万マイルです」と言う。今回のメンテナンスはタイヤのローテーションで、毎５千マイルで行うそうです。ではオイルチェンジは？　毎１万マイルに伸びています。
　その昔、オイルチェンジは、３千マイルでした、もしくは３カ月でした。それがいつの間にか５千マイルに伸びた。それが今では１万マイルまで伸びているのです。
　これはどうして？　エンジンの性能が良くなったからですか？　それでも古い車は同じで、５千マイルか３千マイルだと思います。エンジンオイルの性能向上ではないと思っています。

　昨日の異常なランチの売り上げ、先週の月曜日の３倍もありました。これはなぜ？たまたま混んで、最後の最後２時前まで仕事していました。こうしてその週に来るお客さんが重なることがたまにあります。今日も混めば「ホンモノ」でしょうが、そこまで甘くはないでしょう。ちなみに昨夜のディナーは閑散としていて、これは期待通りでした。

　イタリア政府は来年の財政赤字目標を対ＧＤＰ比２．４％とする予算案を承認した。今年の１．８％から大幅な拡大となり、市場からはイタリアが新たなユーロ債務危機の震源地になるのではとの懸念の声が出始めています。欧州ではギリシア、スペイン、ポルトガル、そしてイタリアがガンです。外貨を稼ぐ木がない国はダメということでしょう。

 　昨日のアジア株、上海以外はすべて上げています。今日のダウ先物も上げていますが、これからは上海株の動きに注目、これが引き金になるでしょう。
　上海株が落ちればハワイが風邪を引く？　みたいです。先日、ある人から聞いた話。ハワイではコンドの建設ブームが止まったしまったらしい。その原因が中国人の投資が消えた。博打好きの中国人が株で損して、お金を持ちだせない。それに加え当局の規制もあって？たぶんこれまでのように外国にお金を持ちだすことができなくなっているのでしょう。ということはロス近郊のこれまで中国人が買い占めていたような住宅ブームも終わる。これがアメリカ景気に水を差すことになるのかも？

Adding all-wheel drive, via the 25t AWD trim, still keeps the XE within our budget. Then again, you might think the XE’s dour-looking interior belongs to a much less expensive car. This latter item includes a long list of active safety features, including automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and lane keep assist, to name a few.The standard powertrain is a 206-horsepower four-cylinder that comes mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and sends power to the front wheels. Upgrading to the optional 290-horsepower V6 engine, coupled to a nine-speed automatic and Acura’s Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) still keeps the TLX under our budget. これ、上から下に行くほど評価が高いのですが、KIA買えますか？　現在現代とKIAは車が燃える騒ぎがありリコールの要請を受けています。おそらくリコールになると思います。３位のTASもそう、３万マイルまでは良いかと。その後、ガタンと性能が落ちますよ。というか、アメ車はリースする車であって買う車ではない。ドイツ車も同じことです。
一番の買いは、やはりLexusのESだと思います。いいとこ取りしています、LSで８万ドルを買うならESで４万ドルです。特に今回のESはデザイン的にもLSに近いし、まあとトヨタは今、全体的にスポーティセダンを目指しています。シャープなデザインで良いのですが、それがどれも似たり寄ったりで個性がない。

　今日は軽く雨が降るかもしれません。明日から気温がガタ落ちします。最低が５０度、最高が６９度です。風邪を引かないようにしましょう。
　東京では風疹が大流行りで、昨年比で１０倍以上だそうです。

　昨日、郵便受けに入ったいた封筒、中身は保険会社からの小切手でした。約１６００ドルもあります。払い過ぎの返却のようですが、今はこんな額でもありがたいですよ。たまにこうして救われます。
　一連のワインの在庫圧縮は順調に進み、アイテム数を２割減らしました、売れるものだけを置き、それを回転させること。売り上げが悪いので在庫を抑えることしかできません。冷凍の中にも前に買ったもので使っていないものがあり、それも綺麗に整理しています。弁当の惣菜にするなどして、片付けています。
　売り上げ悪いと、在庫の見直しをする。そして冷凍庫が綺麗になる。良いことです。

ハワイ島は超金持ちのお忍び場所

　夕方からトミーさんとその仲間とワインバーで飲み会。なかなか面白い話を聴きました。ハワイ島で何かビジネスができるかどうかを模索しているわけですがね。 　まず、ハワイ島に別荘を持っている人のリスト、私の予想通りアメリカを代表するVIPの名前が挙がっています。 　ビル・ゲイツ、マイクロソフトの創業者で世界第2位の金持ちですね。マイケル・デル、今は落ち目ですが、DELLの創業者。ハリソン・フォードなどハリウッドの俳優たちもかなり所有しているようです。そのハワイでの資産は10ミリオンではなく、数十ミリオンのようです。10ミリオンの物件はざらにあります。 　日本人でも某パチンコメーカーの社長も推定＄１６Mの家を所有しているとか、また有名歌舞伎俳優やキムタクなどもお忍びでハワイ島に来るようです。彼らが物件を所有しているかどうかは不明ですけどね。 ちなみにそうした超高額物件も2006年を境に急落しました。＄５０Mが＄１５とかに下がったようですが、売った人もいるし、そうでない人もいるでしょう。 　有名人でも正月にハワイに来る人は多いですね。よく朝のワイドショーでインタビューを受けるような下っ端芸能人はオアフに’行くわけです。そこでゴルフするとかでしょうが、ランクの上の芸能人はそういうにぎやかでマスコミに騒がれるところを避けてハワイ島に来るのです。 　冬場になると、コナ空港はそうしたセレブのプライベートジェットで満杯になり、置き場所がないため、満杯後は横のマウイの空港を利用するようです。それだけの大物たちが、広大な敷地に住むわけですね。 　ただし、そういう人はお抱えのシェフがいるでしょうから、店に食べに行くようなことはしませんね。ということは、＄１０M以下のそこそこ金持ちや＄１M程度の普通の金持ち、いわゆる小金持ちをターゲットにしたビジネスは成り立つということですね。 　そして彼の別荘のある近くに店を構えてそこそこビジネスをしている人もいるようです。なんとなく話を聞いてみると、日本食といわれるレストランの数は１０もなし。韓国料理屋はたぶんなし、ハングルを見ませんからね。 　そして美味しい日本食を出している店は１つか２つしかないようです。Buckheadで鍛えた私の腕が通用する可能性はありそうですかね。 　そういうそこそこ金持ちの場合は、店に行くという

 Veinteseis de Mayo (Viernes) 　やはり今週のピークは水曜日でしたね。昨日はかなり空いた感じでした。パティオは一時満席になったものの、中はガラガラでした。 　予定通り、昨日の朝はコンクリートを練ってミニ工事していましたが、重いので２袋が限界でした。また明日にでもやるかと。まあ汗はかいたのでOK！ 　たまたまZillowという不動産のサイトを見ていたら、売り出ししていない家でも「推定価格」が表示されています。それも家の前からしっかり写真まで撮ってあります。もちろん航空写真で真上からのものもありました。情報はお金だ！の世界ですね。うちは３エーカーの敷地で67万ドルに値上がりしていますね。昨年、ちょうど１０カ月前に６軒お隣で同じサイドの家が５５万ドルで売れていましたが、この家は裏庭がない。そういうことも分かります。メトロアトランタの不動産はうなぎ登り？　資産持つものはさらに富むわけです。 トヨタのＴＡＣＯＭＡ２４年モデルが公開されました。次は４Ｒｕｎｎｅｒが公開されます。同じシャーシーです。 　 一時140円をつけた為替は少し下げて139.66円で動いています。ゴールド少し戻して1953ドルです。原油も昨日下げましたが、今は少し戻し72ドル台。株はアジア上げ、欧州微下げ、NYはまちまち。まあ明日から夏休みです。やる気はない。来週木曜日が期限の債務上限問題ですが、歩み寄るしかないので、解決します。ここで上げるかと。 　しかしこの問題が解決しても、米国経済は’第１四半期で３７％の企業が業績を落とし、第２四半期でこれが拡大するなら、また下げるのでないかと。実質はリセッション入りのようです。二極分化が進み、今は富裕層の消費が頼りのようです。社会人になったばかりのZ世代とかお金はないですよ。米国民は貧しくなっている、これが現状です。 英国は昨年、約６０万人の移民を受け入れています。首相は多過ぎと言っていますが、その中には香港とウクライナが含まれています。労働市場は人手不足なので、規制はできないようです。 　しばらくなかったのに、茨城と千葉で震度５の地震が起きています。 この雨雲はあまり関係なし。今日はやや曇りで７９度ですから、最高ですね。 次の大きな雨は来週の日曜日の４０％です。 日本は台風がどうなるかです。私、雨男？なわけないんですが。 　日曜日の準備
