 今日は赤を着る日だそうです。ニュースを見ていると、どこのチャンネルを回してもアンカーが赤を着ています。心臓病との関連です。

 最低気温が27度でしたが雪なく雨なく、ただ寒いアトランタです。北東部が今後火曜日まで連続して猛吹雪になります。
 一方、西海岸には太平洋からの熱帯低気圧が押し寄せ、サンフランからシアトルにかけて大雨が降るようで土砂崩れの心配があります。ところがその南、ロス近辺は一滴の雨も降らず、カラカラです。

 毎年恒例です、バレンタインデーが近づくとバラの値段が2倍になります。コストコではたぶん水曜日くらいから2ダーズ16ドルが1ダース16ドルになります。そして日曜日には元に戻ります。

 日本では小向美奈子というタレントが覚せい剤で3回目の逮捕。懲りないとはこういう人間のことを指すのでしょう。グラビアアイドル→タレント→AV女優とまあ、堕ちていく人生、そして麻薬漬けですか?もう人間終わっています。社会復帰しても場末のストリッパー程度にしかなれないでしょう。そして人生が終わる。
 自分から染まっていったのか、染められていったのかは不明ですが、タレント=鮮度商品ですから、売れるときに高い値段で売られ、腐る前に叩き売られる。果物と同じようなものですかね。

 来週のバレンタインデーを前に作戦をいろいろ考えています。メニュー点数を減らして効率よく物を作る、セットメニューを作るなど、ありますが、まあ大量に来るお客さんを巧くさばかないといけないわけで、知恵の見せ所です。
 ただ、20--30%は予約だけして来ないケースが多いのです。複数の店を予約しておいて選ばせるわけです。それも考えると予約は多めに取らないといけない。
 もちろん、前日に予約の確認は入れますが、それでも来ないケースがあります。きつねとたぬきの騙し合いではありませんが、それがバレンタインデーの舞台裏です。
